How to Calculate a Test Grade
Calculating your test score is easy. Just divide the number of correct answers by the total number of questions, then multiply by 100 to get your percentage.
(Correct Answers ÷ Total Questions) × 100
Example: If you get 43 correct answers out of 50:
43 ÷ 50 = 0.86 × 100 = 86%
With a standard grading scale, an 86% is a B.
Examples
18 correct out of 20
18 ÷ 20 = 90% = A
42 correct out of 50
42 ÷ 50 = 84% = B
27 correct out of 30
27 ÷ 30 = 90% = A
